Play, Make , Create

 This week for Play make create we did a book called Were all equal. I worked with Heidi and e made a house for the bear and the turtle. 

My favourite part was the food stand Because it looks cute and it had little tiny food on it, Like hot chips and burgers.

We made it out of a paper bag and made a little pound out of the ribbon stuff. We made the food stand out of cardboard, We made the bear and the turtle out of paper and added little googly eyes to them to make it look cool and cute.

I liked working with Heidi because she helped a lot and she has a lot of ideas. I would work with Hiedi again.

I think it is a shooting star and I think we could do better next time.

Whetu Challenge

 

This week for Whetu Challenge we had to make a tower out of newspaper. I worked with Gosahib, Sarah and Bella. I learnt how to roll the paper the correct way.  What I found challenging was trying to make it stay up and making sure that we had the right amount of tape. What I found easy was rolling the paper and, making the base. What I found better than last time was that I worked with different people and that we worked as a team.

Kite Day!

 

On Friday we made kites to fly. Last year some people were still in lockdown but some weren't. Last Friday last year we flew kites. I wasn't at school though but I still made kite (Which didn't quite work). I made mine out of a chiefs flag, Ribbon stuff and Tape. It was a little hard but I didn't really care. I worked by myself but I worked alongside my whole table. My kite didn't fly that well but I think it flew a little bit but sometimes it just flopped on the ground. I like creating my kite because it was fun and I made mistakes but I could fix them. My favourite part was trying to get it to fly even though I didn't fly it was still my favourite part to do. If I had to change something about my flag would probably the amount of tape I put on my kite because that's probably the reason why my kite didn't fly.

Play,Make,Create. "Be Me"

 This week for Play, Make, Create I made something that I love which is netball so I did a netball court.

I made a netball out of wool and made it into a pom pom then I trimmed it and made it smaller so it could fit in the hoop.

The most challenging part was trying to make the hoop. I tried to make it out of cardboard but it didn't work then I tried to make it out of paper but still didn't work. Instead, I got the hot glue gun and then did a circle and waited till it dry and then glued it on the stick.

The thing that worked well was the ball because it really cute and it's cool because it goes in the hoop.

The book is about not being afraid of who you are and always being your self no matter what. I like this book because it encouraged me to be me and never give up.

.Numbot and TT rockstars.

 Term 2, Week 1 2021

During Term 1 we have been practising our addition and subtraction knowledge through the online programme called NumBots.  At the start, it was super easy but progressively got more challenging.

I am now on  Glass level of NumBots. I'm trying my best to get up to tungsten and I can't wait until I do. 

I enjoy NumBots because it's fun but it gets harder and harder as you move along. I also like it because it helps with my subtraction and addition.

What I find challenging is trying to get up to higher levels so that I can complete them all and get up to diamond.

This week we have started TTRockstars.  This is an online programme which helps us to learn our timetables. I have gone back down to rock legend and I'm trying to get back up to rock hero

I think that TTRockstars will be quite hard because we haven't done it in for a long time But as we continue on I will get better. I like TT rockstars because it helps me memorise all my times tables
